You have all the tools you need.
Your body leads the way.
You’re not alone.
Kindred is a place to unfold and discover, a container for you to do your own deep inner work. Using yoga asana, group coaching, and shared meals, we’ll dig into your biggest visions, troubleshoot your common obstacles, and take steady, intentional action to manifest the life and self you deepest desire. Over three months, we will build abiding friendships with a vibrant community of comrades, so you leave with clearer purpose, a path laid forward, and buddies to walk with on the way.
Kindred is untying the knots of our own self-sabotage.
We’ve all experienced this: our old habits can undermine our best efforts for change. Through Kindred, we’ll bolster your concrete skills for organization, time management, intention setting, and goal achieving. Alongside that, we’ll dig deep into the beliefs you have that hold you back and work to undo the harmful patterns we inherited from our families of origin and from our (patriarchal, white supremacist, capitalist) culture so your skills and systems can enact your visions.
Kindred is tapping into the wisdom that lives in our bones.
Your body is the path to your deepest knowing. Through years of practice, most of us are pretty good at ignoring, overriding, and shutting down the sensations of the body. We’ve lost access to our own intuition, even though it’s the one voice that truly knows what you need. All of Kindred’s work will be interspersed with yoga and movement to keep you out of the traps of your own busy brain and firmly grounded in the capable presence of your body.
Kindred is friend time with a deeper purpose.
When the world is big and bad, we survive because the folks we love have our back. I want to tell you that you’re not alone in your joy or your struggle. There are so many people who are experiencing the same things you are, and at Kindred, you’ll connect to them over delicious home-cooked meals, in work and in play. When Kindred ends, you'll have clarity about your purpose, tools to take action, and deep community to support you.
Move your body.
Clear your mind.
Open your heart.
Fill your belly.
How does Kindred work?
Kindred is a 3-month yoga and coaching group that uses the practices of yoga and life coaching to get clear about the life you want and take the needed actions to get there. In addition, we’ll share meals together twice a month to build trust and deepen relationships.
We’ll have yoga+coaching groups twice a month, every other Sunday from 1-4 pm at Yoga Bywater. We’ll share a casual dinner together once a month at potlucks on occasional Saturdays from 6-9 pm. These will be hosted by rotating volunteer participants (ie you!) in your beautiful homes.
You’ll also have a hour-long call with me once a month (one-on-one) to talk through exactly what’s going on for you. In addition, you’ll be paired with a buddy who you’ll meet with at least once a month for friendship and additional support. Basically, you’ll be getting encouragement and accountability from every which way, so there’s no way to go askew.
When is Kindred?
Kindred is scheduled for Fall 2017. More details TBD.
What is the cost for Kindred?
$600 includes 6 one-day workshops, 3 potluck dinners, and 3 one-on-one calls with me.
I am deeply committed to financial accessibility, and as such, payment plans are wildly available. Some payment plan options are $200/month for 3 months, $100/month for 6 months, or $50/month for 12 months.
There is one partial scholarship for a person with serious financial need. Inquire for details. If you want to do this, don’t let money hold you back. Contact me and let’s find a way to make it work
